CPqD Plant Management is Supported and Ready to Run on Oracle Exadata Database Machine
October 30, 2013 – CPqD today announced that CPqD Plant Management version 7.4.2 has achieved Oracle Exadata Ready status through Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN). Today’s announcement demonstrates that CPqD supports CPqD Plant Management version 7.4.2 with Oracle Exadata Database Machine, Oracle Linux and Oracle VM.
CPqD Plant Management is a system that assures the quality in network planning, design and construction, and manages the network facility of a telecommunications company for both outside and inside the plant. It integrates and standardizes operational procedures distributed throughout several areas within the companies. CPqD Plant Management also provides tools that help companies to increase their revenue by reducing network deployment and activation delay, improving installed resources usage and speeding up customer requests answers. These functionalities are presented on a standard user interface and on a geographic or graphical schematic user interface basis. These different views help users from different departments to use the same corporate physical and logical network information and help them keep it updated.
The spatial and non-spatial data are stored in Oracle Exadata, which helps ensure reliability, scalability and security to the system data. CPqD Plant Management handles multi-technologies at same instance of the system. It includes copper, optical, coaxial, hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC), wireless – to provide different telecommunications services, such as wired telephony, Internet and cable TV, among others. The CPqD Plant Management solution was designed to be integrated with other business and operation support systems using SOA architecture. The easy access to the network data reduces time spent in the decision making related to the feasibility verification, service provision, fault resolution, and maintenance activities. CPqD is a Gold level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork.
