CPqD

CPqD quality program began to cover all of the organization?s activities within a management system covering the fulfillment of NBR ISO 9001:2000, NBR ISO/IEC 17025:2001 and CMM standards. The unification of CPqD Quality System will allow the extension of accreditation to new tests. Currently, in addition to the 22 tests, the Calibration Laboratory is also accredited by Inmetro in the optical and time and frequency areas.

CPqD projects do not stop here. According to Sebastião Sahão Jr, Director of CPqD, the accrediting for electromagnetic compatibility, electric protection, and WDM equipment tests is foreseen for this year, according to Anatel resolution 237/238. ?We can state that CPqD is the Brazilian organization best prepared to perform this kind of work in the country?, he says.

I believe that CPqD?s main differential is the integration of the management system based in CMM and NBR ISO/IEC 17025 requirements, creating very interesting perspectives for Brazil in the software validation area.
