New Areas in CPqD Receive ISO 9001
In addition to enlarging its certification scope, CPqD conforms to the new ISO 9001:2000 version
Since 2000, CPqD received ISO 9001 certification for its consulting services. The innovation is that the company accepted the challenge to also deploy these requirements in other areas. Therefore, four new product lines received the quality seal: laboratory services, calibration, product technology and product certification.
In addition, adjustments were made for the new version of the standard: ISO 9001:2000. According to Mario Côrtes, Quality Counselor, the new version is more complete because it effectively shows what is being improved. ?The new architecture of the management system is more related to the effective performance of processes committed to continuous improvement?, he says.
?The certification for our products and services reflects the acknowledgment, by an external independent organization, that we are proficient in our work?, remarks Paulo Edmundo Prado Moreira, Quality Counselor. CPqD intends to extend the ISO certification to software development.
