This strategic partnership is an important advance in Infitel's Pan-American expansion formerly announced in the media in November. CPqD's deep knowledge of network operators and service providers' business and its strong regional presence together with Infitel's global partnership with platform vendors such as Siemens, Ericsson, HP and Lucent brings together an unparalleled level of expertise for the deployment of cost-efficient value-added service solutions in the Americas.
Operators worldwide are pressed to deploy new revenue-centric services but faced with complex implementations, excessive costs and long lead times. Infitel's rich solutions portfolio and powerful application environment allows operators to launch new services in record time with the support of well known vendors and first rate professional services organizations.

As an Infitel partner, CPqD is a member of Infitel's INSPIRE Program (Infitel's Solution Partners for innovative, revenue generating applications), the aim of which is for Infitel to deliver together with partners a wide range of innovative applications for telecommunications carriers.
CPqD will establish a Latin American test bed and center of excellence in demonstrating Infitel's solutions, leveraging CPqD's integration capabilities. Each company will also create and manage test environments using CPqD's infrastructure and Infitel's software as well as develop a "train the trainer" program to capitalize on each company's specific strengths. Finally, each company will jointly develop, market and deploy new applications, in addition to customizing and integrating existing services.
