Cities Drive innovation with people at the center of digital transformation.

The expansion of the urban population is increasing the social, economic and environmental challenges in cities. It is in this scenario that the adoption of new technologies stands out, as a means of offering new capabilities to public managers and enabling strategies based on the progress and well-being of citizens. For that reason, the tem“smart cities” has been gaining priority, but in Brazil it is still temthe great challenges ahead, either in the appropriate technological planning, in the regulatory context or in the lack of investments and associated incentives.

CPQD action in
Smart cities

As advocated by the Brazilian Charter for Smart Cities and the Chamber for Cities 4.0 – initiatives that had the active participation of CPQD –, we believe that sustainable development involves the viability of a model that encourages national companies to offer innovative solutions capable of solve real problems, respecting the territorial diversity of Brazilian municipalities.

In this environment, CPQD acts both as a technological partner of the State, creating open technologies and enabling platforms (IoT and Artificial Intelligence), and of companies and startups that aim to create and commercially offer products, services and solutions for Smart Cities.
