VS Telecom incorporates solution C2n from CPQD to its offer for private network projects
4G/5G convergent network core developed by CPQD is already working on a private network being tested on a VS client in the agribusiness sector

With 24 years of experience in communication network projects – fixed, mobile and convergent – for companies from different segments, VS Telecom decided to invest in the private 4G and 5G network market, which has been expanding rapidly across the country. And, to compose its offer of solutions in this area, VS chose C2n, 4G/5G convergent network core developed by CPQD with a focus on the implementation of private networks.
“This is a new market, until recently temdominated by large operators telecom”, observes Hugo Filgueiras, Innovation Manager in Private Networks at VS Telecom. “Seeking agnostic and more affordable solutions is an essential factor in reaching market segments not served by operators”, he explains. This is the case for the solution C2n, from CPQD, which is being incorporated into the company's offer for private networks – which also includes radio base stations from Nokia and Sunwave, of which VS is a sales channel in Brazil.
The company already tem a first customer, from the agribusiness sector, who is testing the private 4G network solution implemented on the farm, which is located in Minas Gerais. “In addition to agribusiness, a segment that lacks connectivity and that we intend to reach with our solutions, our focus is on the airports, education, government, health and internet service providers (ISPs) sectors”, reveals Filgueiras.
Headquartered in the capital of São Paulo, VS Telecom tem offices in Porto Alegre (RS), Rio de Janeiro (RJ) and Brasília (DF), through which it operates throughout the country. Your list of customers – served with LAN, WLAN, cybersecurity and IT solutionstemvoice over IP – includes several city halls in the state of São Paulo, important hospitals (such as the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of USP, the Cancer Institute of the State of São Paulo, Hospital Sabará and Hospital Mãe de Deus, among others), GRU Airport – São Paulo International Airport, Sabesp, Banrisul, Shopping Ibirapuera and other large corporations. “The intention is to bring private network solutions to these customers”, adds the VS executive Telecom.
When choosing the C2n, the company took into account the flexibility and more affordable cost of the solution, as well as the quick access to support – of good quality – provided by CPQD. For Tatiana Mesquita, responsible for marketing the solution C2n at CPQD, the partnership with VS Telecom proves the importance of the platform's resources, such as integration with radio base stations and other network elements from different manufacturers. “The core network solution C2n it does not depend on specific equipment suppliers, or a very heavy IT infrastructure, which facilitates the implementation of private networks”, says Tatiana.
