Finep holds its 2nd Inovacred Partner Meeting at CPQD

The event brought together executives and representatives from more than 20 partner institutions in this Finep program, who also had the opportunity to get to know CPQD

CPQD hosted the 2nd Inovacred Partner Meeting, promoted by Finep on the 26th and 27th of March. The event brought together executives and representatives from more than 20 partner institutions of Finep's decentralized credit program, which operate innovation financing aimed primarily at micro, small and medium-sized companies in Brazilian states. The objective of the meeting was to promote the integration of partners, in addition to presenting results, strategies and success stories.

In the opening lecture of the event, Elias Ramos, director of Innovation at Finep, spoke about the new Brazilian industrial policy, announced at the beginning of this year, which tem The central focus is technological development and innovation in the sector. And he detailed Finep's participation in the new industry incentive program, which tem financial credit among the main instruments – in addition to improving the business environment and the use of public purchasing power.

Innovation Superintendent Newton Hamatsu highlighted the Finep Inovacred Program as one of the options for promoting the country's new industrial policy. According to him, this program supported more than 600 projects in 2023 and the expectation is to increase this number significantly this year.

Gustavo Barcelos, manager of Decentralized Credit Operations, presented news and updates promoted by Finep, such as the simplification of processes related to initiatives aligned with Nova Indústria Brasil and a new program aimed at one of the missions of this policy – ​​focusing on bioeconomy, decarbonization, energy transition and security. The program for the first day of the meeting also included the presentations of two Inovacred success stories by Finep partners: Piauí Fomento, which works to support the ecossistemthat of innovation in that state, and BANDES – Development Bank of Espírito Santo.

On 27/03, the highlight of the event was the presentation of the Finep Inovacred 2024 Award to financial agents who stood out for supporting innovative and impactful projects. The award withtempleted Finep partners in four categories: Greater degree of innovation, Greater environmental impact, Greater social impact and Greater volume of financing.

Paulo Curado, director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at CPQD, closed the program with a presentation about the organization, in which he highlighted the commitment to open innovation as a way of promoting ecosystemsteminnovation in various areas. Curado highlighted CPQD's laboratory infrastructure, which supports a series of services as well as relevant projects developed in the organization, and presented some research, development and innovation projects, involving different technological skills - such as connectivity, Artificial Intelligence, IoT, sensing optical, blockchain and electric mobility.

“CPQD’s technological base comes from structuring projects and many of them would not exist without Finep’s fundamental support”, concluded Curado. After the lecture, Finep partners and guests had the opportunity to visit the Connectivity Laboratory Complex and the new CPQD Technological Evolution Center.
